High-speed railway company on August 10 to launch Intercity train between Kyiv and Zaporizhia

Railway cargo transportation tariff index still considerably behind growth of grain prices

The proposed increase in tariffs for cargo shipments by 12.5% is taken into account in the macroeconomic indicators of the development of the Ukrainian economy and it is in line with the price policy for 2014. The index of growth of cargo tariffs lags considerably behind growth of the prices of grain products.

Ukrzaliznytsia puts on extra trains from Kyiv to Uzhgorod and Ivano-Frankivsk

State Railways Administration of Ukraine Ukrzaliznytsia, to meet the needs of the population for rail transportation for the period from July 11 to August 1, 2014, has put on extra train No. 269K/269L Kyiv-Ivano-Frankivsk, for July 11 and 13 - additional train No. 239K/239L Kyiv-Uzhgorod.

Ukrzaliznytsia asking PGO to check Ukrtransleasing for approriation of public funds and assets

State Railways Administration of Ukraine Ukrzaliznytsia to protect legitimate rights and interests from illegal actions by Ukrtransleasing leasing company (Kyiv), aimed at the appropriation of public funds and assets, as well as encroachment on public property and rolling stock, has appealed to the Prosecutor General's Office (PGO) asking to conduct checks on the company to uncover illegal activities and, if they are confirmed, open criminal proceedings.
